    2010 Business of The Year Award Luncheon -

    October 6, 2010

    The 16th annual Business of the Year Luncheon will take place Wednesday October 6, 2010. This year the guest speaker will be Jim Pine, the Chief Administrative Officer of Hastings County and the driving force behind the new Broadband Project.. 

    As always, the Business of the Year event will focus on recognizing one Township Business that has demonstrated innovative business practices, services or products, has been involved with the community and in some instances, deserves recognition based on the longevity of the business.

    Past Winners - Past Business of the Year winners include:  Tincap Restaurant (2009), Hendrix Restaurant Supplies Ltd.  (2008), Hillside Farms (2007), Built Right Utility (2006), Lafarge Canada Inc. (2005), Burnbrae Farms (2004), Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club (2003), G.C. Hudson Supply Ltd. (2002) and George Tackaberry and Sons Ltd. (2001).

    2010 Nominees -
    This year nominees include:  Atlas Block, Basically Bikes, Burnbrae Farms, Howard Campbell & Sons Septic Tank Pumping Service, Raymond D. Deir Construction Co. Ltd., Tincap Berry Farm, The Gravel Doctor, and Thousand Island Concrete.

    Luncheon - The Business of the Year event will take place Wednesday October 6, 2010 from noon until 1:00 p.m., with registration and networking beginning at 11:30 a.m.. The event will be held at Cedar Valley Golf & Country Club, 7041 County Rd 29.

    Limited Seating - Members of the business community wishing to attend the awards luncheon are asked to R.S.V.P at 613-345-7480 or 1-800-492-3175 no later than September 24th, please note that there is limited seating available.  The event includes a complimentary lunch provided by the Economic Development Committee and the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley.
